More About Savannah River Banking CompanyShow All | Close All | How did Savannah River Banking Company become established as a financial institution? | Q | How did Savannah River Banking Company become established as a financial institution? | In June 2006 a group of twenty-three local business and community leaders created a Board of Directors to organize Savannah River Financial Corporation, the holding company for Savannah River Banking Company. This Board, along with a staff of three associates, began the process of creating a new community bank for the entire CSRA market. The Board quickly applied for a bank charter through the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) with approval received in May, 2007. The CSRA market financially supported Savannah River Financial Corporation through the private placement of common stock, over-subscribing and raising in excess of $30 million in capital to provide a successful start to our new community bank.
Savannah River Financial Corporation currently has plans to build an 18,000 square foot main office and financial center located on Walton Way Extension in the Augusta Exchange area. Additionally, we have renovated an existing financial center in the Aiken market located on Silver Bluff Road at Hitchcock Plaza. Savannah River Banking Company's opening date of August 1st will provide a high level of client services through a dedicated and experienced team of over 20 associates, all with extensive banking knowledge of the CSRA market.
Savannah River Banking Company is committed to Banking Made Easy with the goal of providing Easy retail and commercial solutions for our clients. Close |
